About the role
Responsibilities Design and build consumer-facing and enterprise operational applications for the restaurant industry Use AI dev tooling to improve productivity across development, testing, and documentation Implement and uphold MVVM architecture patterns Write comprehensive unit and integration tests Own features end-to-end from design to deployment (CI/CD) Scale and optimize the platform for worldwide expansion Interface with and support a variety of hardware devices Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and brand teams Requirements BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or a related STEM field 5+ years hands-on experience building robust mobile software Strong Android fundamentals including Android SDK and application lifecycle Good working knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development (Jetpack Compose) Proven history of writing robust software with proper architectures and testing strategies Ability to manage aspects of the development process including implementation, testing, or deployment Preferred Qualifications Exposure to distributed systems and peer-to-peer architecture Restaurant tech, retail POS, or in-store operational system background Published native Android apps in portfolio Strong background in reactive UI patterns (Kotlin Flow/Coroutines, Jetpack Compose) Experience building payment systems or integrating with hardware peripherals Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases Startup experience Benefits 4 weeks of vacation plus holidays 5 sick days and 2 paid volunteer days Company-wide recharge holidays 401(k) matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Half-day Fridays Generous parental leave World-famous recognition culture
