About the role
Responsibilities Own MAGNiTT's core dataset end-to-end across all seven entities Define and maintain schema, data dictionary, taxonomy, and methodology Own data quality through validation rules, automated error detection, and cleanup workflows Build and maintain data collection tooling, including scrapers and news pipelines Prototype and validate derived fields and algorithms with the Data Scientist Design and run structured research workflows and delegate to the team Query internal databases using SQL to audit and QA datasets Oversee internal reporting and external data deliverables Work with product and leadership on coverage priorities and new data points Requirements 5+ years in data-focused roles (analysis or operations) Experience managing or leading a small team Advanced SQL skills including complex joins and window functions Working proficiency in Python for data work (scraping, parsing, cleaning) Hands-on experience building or maintaining data collection pipelines Experience with entity resolution or record matching Project management experience for data collection and cleanup efforts Experience overseeing reporting/BI deliverables Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to data quality Product-minded approach to identifying coverage gaps Preferred Qualifications Experience using LLMs for information extraction or classification Experience with data licensing or data partnerships Familiarity with the venture capital or private capital ecosystem Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools About the Company MAGNiTT is a data-driven platform providing quality data around the VC ecosystem in Emerging Venture Markets.
