About the role
Responsibilities Data Modeling & Architecture: Model complex business processes and design/refine data models. Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL workflows using Apache Airflow and dbt. Monitoring: Ensure data quality and reliability and manage data lineage. Build for History: Design and implement historical tracking for accurate reporting. Data Governance: Establish and maintain governance standards and best practices. Workflow Streamlining: Implement best practices using DBT and Airflow. Data Models: Build models for the metrics layer/semantic layer. Requirements 5+ years of professional full-time experience in Analytics Engineering/BI/Warehouse Modelling. Expert in SQL with a strong ability to write performant, readable, and DRY code. Extensive experience with dbt for managing the transformation layer. Strong understanding of data warehousing, particularly with BigQuery. Experience with version control (Git), orchestration (Airflow), and BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, Looker). Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling using Kimball or Star Schema methodology. Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation. Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools.
