About the role
Responsibilities Build agent platforms and internal tooling including orchestration, tool calling, and evaluation harnesses Operationalize AI within the software development lifecycle to assist with code reviews and test generation Design and implement RAG patterns, structured extraction, and production inference workflows Own end-to-end AI feature delivery from prototype to production monitoring Mentor engineers and establish best practices for AI reliability, safety, and observability Requirements 6+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems Direct experience on an Applied AI or product AI team building LLM/ML features Strong backend and system design skills (APIs, distributed systems, observability) Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes with cross-functional partners Experience mentoring peers and improving engineering quality Preferred Qualifications Experience building platform capabilities like SDKs or internal developer frameworks Practical experience with embeddings, search/retrieval, and model monitoring Familiarity with inference constraints such as latency, cost, and caching Benefits Company-subsidized medical, dental, & vision plans 401(k) plan with company match Annual bonus Flexible PTO 16-week paid parental leave and disability benefits Company equipment provided (Windows & Mac options) About the Company PrizePicks is a leading Daily Fantasy Sports platform in North America, covering a diverse range of sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, and Esports.
