About the role
Responsibilities Audit the Segment inventory, consolidate duplicates, and establish a governed object-action naming convention Build and maintain the tracking plan and deprecate events deliberately as the product changes Configure and manage Segment Protocols for schema validation and violation handling Advise on hybrid server-side and client-side event capture with product and engineering Partner with marketing, product, and engineering to translate requirements into event specs Document tracking standards and run a review process for proposing, approving, and deprecating events Build automated monitoring for schema conformance, event volume, and property completeness Requirements 2+ years in a data analyst, data analytics, or similar role Experience with Segment or a similar customer data platform Solid grasp of event taxonomy and tracking-plan concepts SQL proficiency and comfort querying a cloud data warehouse Working knowledge of JSON Schema and JavaScript Familiarity with Git and CI/CD Ability to explain tracking standards to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, or GA4 Benefits Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, medical, dental, and vision coverage Work-from-home stipend, parental leave, and generous paid time off About the Company Hometap offers home equity investments that let homeowners access their home equity without debt or monthly payments.
