Responsibilities Participate in the full software development lifecycle Maintain applications through enhancements, patches, and defect resolution Diagnose system problems and improve performance and reliability Work with DevOps on CI/CD practices for stable releases Partner with users to clarify requirements and build solutions Research technologies and contribute to proofs of concept Create and maintain shared enterprise packages Mentor less experienced engineers and identify team training needs Requirements College degree in computer science or technical field, or equivalent experience 2-4 years analyzing requirements, developing software, and writing code Advanced knowledge of software development and project lifecycle principles Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Snowflake, DBT, SQL Server, Python, ADO, Power BI, R Benefits Salary range $76,600 - $106,450, commensurate with experience and location About the Company Horace Mann provides insurance and financial products tailored to educators, serving more than 4,100 school districts nationwide.
