The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take ownership of talent acquisition across a diverse and growing Asia Pacific business, partnering directly with senior leaders to shape how HKA attracts and hires specialist talent across the region.

Based in our Sydney office, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement where you will join a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing global Recruitment and People team. You will partner closely with the business to deliver high-quality end-to-end talent acquisition across our International region, with a particular focus on Asia Pacific.

You will attract, source and maintain pipelines of exceptional talent across a varied portfolio of specialist and professional roles, supporting both immediate hiring needs and HKA's longer-term growth. You will also identify specialist capabilities for major bids, future projects and anticipated business requirements, helping HKA access the talent it needs before requirements arise.

You will develop strong relationships with stakeholders, establishing yourself as a valued talent advisor to senior leaders and hiring managers across the region. You will champion inclusive recruitment practices and help attract and engage people who share HKA's values and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace. This is a varied, fast-paced regional role that will suit someone who enjoys autonomy, collaboration and working across multiple priorities.

As part of the role, you will

• Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand current and future strategic business requirements.
• Lead high-quality, end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of professional and specialist roles.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to support business growth, major bids and upcoming projects.
• Proactively identify, approach and engage passive talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals and direct sourcing.
• Build and maintain engaged talent pools for strategically important and hard-to-fill capability areas.
• Provide leaders and hiring managers with credible market insights.
• Coach and advise hiring managers on recruitment strategy, interviewing, candidate assessment and best practice.
• Champion inclusive recruitment practices that support HKA’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Skills and Experience

You are an experienced recruiter who enjoys operating as a genuine talent partner rather than simply managing vacancies. You are commercially minded, curious about the business and comfortable challenging and advising stakeholders where required.

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience

• You will have a minimum of 5 years’ recruitment or talent acquisition experience, ideally in an internal role within professional services, consultancy, construction, property, engineering and/or advisory services.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns across multiple disciplines and levels.
• You will be a strategic, commercially minded recruiter who builds strong professional relationships with your stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes for the business.
• Strong direct-sourcing capability engaging active and passive candidates in competitive talent markets.
• A proactive and highly organised approach, with the ability to adapt to competing priorities.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to develop and manage talent pipelines.
• A genuine commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience and inclusive recruitment practices.
