About the role
Responsibilities Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines across Snowflake, dbt and AWS Develop integrations with internal systems, merchants, payment platforms and partners Build reusable dbt models that produce trusted datasets for analytics and finance Establish standards for data testing, monitoring, validation and governance Partner with Engineering, Analytics, Finance and Operations on data specifications Drive engineering best practices, code reviews and CI/CD; mentor teammates Requirements 5+ years as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or similar Expert-level SQL, including window functions and query optimization Strong production experience with dbt and cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake Deep understanding of dimensional modeling and incremental models Experience with Git-based workflows, pull requests and CI/CD Hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams Preferred Qualifications AWS data services such as S3, Glue and Lambda Infrastructure as code and cloud data architecture Working knowledge of Python for automation and validation Experience with APIs and external data integrations Benefits Full medical, dental and vision benefits Stock in an early-stage startup Flexible paid time off 401(k) with Morgan Stanley financial guidance About the Company Extend provides product and shipping protection, claims and payments for over 1,000 merchant partners.
