About the role
Responsibilities Contribute to design and architecture of scalable, maintainable, high-performance software systems Write clean, efficient code and use AI-assisted development tools across the SDLC Implement automated test suites and prevent regressions Participate in code reviews, optimize performance and resolve complex bugs Work cross-functionally and guide junior engineers in best practices Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred) 3-5 years of full-stack software development experience Strong proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Node.js Experience designing scalable end-to-end technical solutions Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Terraform Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes Advanced SQL with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL Git-based workflows, PR participation and thorough code reviews Excellent communication and ownership mindset Benefits Medical, dental and vision health plans Parental leave and flexible time off 401k with company match Tuition reimbursement up to $3K/year Life, disability and ancillary insurance Wellness and recreational safety benefits About the Company Octane provides financial products for merchants and consumers, supporting over 60 OEM brands and 4,000 dealer partners.
