Powering Great Work
We started as the place to find a trusted trade. Now, as we shape the future of home improvement, we're building the tech to transform that landscape for everyone - better products, smarter data, AI where it actually helps - so trades can spend less time on admin and consumers can find someone they trust, first time. That's Powering Great Work, and it's why every team here exists:
🔧 Trades spend less time on admin and more on winning work and growing their business
🏠 Homeowners get a trusted trade, first time, every time
🚀 We get to build products that change homes and lives across the country
Fancy a career in sales at Checkatrade? Let's talk before the role even exists. Our sales team turns conversations into confidence, and confidence into growth, for tradespeople and homeowners across the UK, and we're always looking for great salespeople. This isn't a live vacancy. It's a way to get on our radar, so we can come to you the moment there's a great fit.
The job, unfiltered
- Have real conversations, not scripted ones: read the room and sell in the way that gets results, not the way that ticks a box.
- Close deals that mean something, helping a tradesperson grow their business or a homeowner find someone they can trust.
- Own a pipeline from first outreach to long-term account growth, and see the impact of your work end to end.
- Chase targets that matter, and keep going when a deal falls through, learning from it as you do.
- Back your team and be backed in return, with no faff and people who want to see everyone succeed.
The fit
Wherever you are in your sales career, from SDR through to sales leadership, we want to hear from you if you bring:
- A track record of hitting (or exceeding) targets, whatever stage of your career that's been at.
- The knack for building relationships that last, from a cold first call to a long-term account.
- A consultative streak: you listen first, then sell the solution that actually fits.
- Steadiness and follow-through when a deal falls through.
Nice to have: experience selling SaaS, marketplace or subscription products. It's not a dealbreaker.
(Don't self-select out because you don't tick every box. We'd rather meet you.)
