How sponsorship works in Portugal
Tech Visa is primarily an employer certification programme (IAPMEI), not a separate visa name you apply for alone. Certified companies can issue a term of responsibility that streamlines the worker’s highly qualified residence process.
If the company is not certified, you may still use a standard D3 highly qualified activity path with a qualifying contract, subject to salary and document rules.
